Emily Blunt: Matt Damon tried to sabotage my movie diet
Emily Blunt says Matt Damon loved eating burgers in front of her while she was dieting for new movie
EMILY Blunt says cheeky co-star Matt Damon made it extra difficult for her when she was dieting for her latest movie.
English actress Emily Blunt says her The Adjustment Bureau co-star Matt Damon took great pleasure from the fact she had to diet for her role, while for once he didn't.
Emily exclusively told UK ELLE Magazine: "After Bourne and Invictus, he was like, “Just for once, I don’t have to go to the gym, so I’m going to eat burgers in front of you and you’re going to have to deal with it.’”
The Devil Wears Prada star says despite living in California these days, she's not going to turn into a Hollywood girl - and hasn't forgotten her English roots.
She added: "I know that maybe there’s a perception that I’ve abandoned what’s true to me, but I still maintain it and I never want to look like I’m disregarding where I came from.
"Don’t worry, I’m not on cleanses or doing Pilates every day! Not to stereotype Hollywood girls, but…"
And she revealed that Marmite is the key to retaining her Britishness - much to the disgust of all her American friends.
She said: "Everyone here gags at the smell of it, but it’s like my staple diet. It’s salty deliciousness.’"
